The GLOBE 2008 International Conference and Trade Fair on the Business of the Environment will be held in Vancouver, Canada, March 12-14, 2008. The Consulate General of the Netherlands in Vancouver invites you to be part of the Holland Pavilion at this event dedicated to bringing together professionals from the environment sector. Every two years, corporate executives, government representatives, environmental senior managers, urban planners and financial executives meet to discuss emerging priorities and opportunities in the business of the environment. The tenth in the series, GLOBE 2008 will host 10,000 participants, 2,000 conference delegates, 400 exhibitors, 200 speakers and dozens of international delegations from over 70 countries. The Conference will focus on major themes such as Corporate Sustainability, Climate Change and Energy, Finance and Sustainability, and Building Better Cities. Of interest, Henk Kaan from the Netherlands Centre for Sustainable Research will be a speaker at the Conference. Furthermore, Holland will be represented on a 600 square feet booth, especially designed for the show and a number of Dutch companies will be present with their products and services. The Trade Fair will also showcase the latest technologies and services from across the world in areas where Dutch companies excel: Sustainable Building, Water and Waste Management, Recycling, Site Remediation, Renewable Energies, and Transportation, to cite a few.
