Vernissage on Wednesday, September 24, 9 pm @ OZKafé, 361 Elgin street
Open to the public from 23 September – 24 oktober.
Prints and photography by Rozemarijn Oudejans, Sheri Burke and Virginia Sheehan
Rozemarijn Oudejans is a Dutch graphic artist and photographer, living and
working in Ottawa since 2005. Originally from The Netherlands, a lot of
Rozemarijn’s work is inspired by her Dutch roots and the place where she
grew up, near the North Sea. Equally important are her new Canadian
surroundings in Ottawa, that influence her work as well. Communication is
the main goal of her artwork. She explains complex thoughts and feelings by
simplifying, organizing or re-arranging the things we see around us. Or by
using visual metaphores in explanation of anything abstract. She enjoys
surprising people with unexpected views on ordinary, everyday objects. She
likes to challenge people’s point of view by showing them an interesting new
world, ready to be explored.
Along with Rozemarijn, Sheri Burke will be showing her photgraphs and Virginia Sheehan shows her love of objects in her creations.
You are invited to join the artists for the opening of the “Three Women” art show on Wednesday September
24th, 9pm @ Oz Kafé, 361 Elgin St.
