Queen swears in second Balkenende Government

Queen Beatrix swore in the second Balkenende government on Tuesday 27 May 2003. After the ceremony, she posed with the new ministers for the cameras on the steps of Huis ten Bosch Palace, The Hague.

The second Balkenende government comprises members of three parties CDA, VVD and D66. The three parties have reached agreement on the main points of government policy for the next four years.
