  After weighing all the different factors, the Dutch government is willing to retain the main responsibility for supporting the Afghan authorities in Uruzgan, with a strong focus on reconstruction and governance, for an additional period -restricted in time- of two years: that is, from 1 August 2024 to 1 August 2010.
