The Netherlands attractive for start up companies

According to the recent report Doing Business from the Worldbank, the Netherlands is an attractive country for start up companies. Complex regulatory processes dealing with labour markets, starting up enterprises and business liquidation regulations hamper economic developments in countries. That is what the Worldbank researchers  concluded in a report that was published last month.

Regulations in 130 countries were examined. The report  “Doing Business” shows that the Netherlands has simple regulations to set up a business. Generally, it takes only a couple of weeks to establish a company and the costs are low.

"Doing Business" stresses that the more poor a country is, the more difficult and complex it is to set up a business. Moreover, governmental organisations tend to work more inefficient in these vast regulatory surroudings.

On the other hand, countries where regulations are smooth – like in Holland – have a better economic performance. The Netherlands belongs to this group of countries. More information can be found at: http://publications.worldbank.org.
