Dutch soil remediation delegation visit in Alberta

A Dutch soil remediation mission, consisting of a number of Dutch companies, Dutch research institute TNO, the Dutch Soil Partnership and members of the diplomatic missions visited Edmonton, Calgary and Banff in the week of october 23rd 2007.


During this week, participants talked with the Alberta government on issues such as cooperation with The Netherlands in legislation and policies and with a number of oil and engineering companies to investigate cooperation in the field of soil remediation.


Van Oord’s Joe Athmer, Director Offshore at Holland’s largest dredging and marine contractors, gave an impressive presentation on dredging and

told a 500 member audience during Remtech in Banff how they are building the Palm Island in Dubai.


At the same Remtech, four Dutch presenters gave an inside in the Dutch innovative way of in situ soil remediation.
